Martine Combal Biography Martine Combal assumed the role of Manager of the Property Acquisition and Disposition Division at the District of Columbia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) in September 2008. The Division acquires and disposes of vacant property throughout the District. Ms. Combal has extensive knowledge and experience with acquisitions through tax foreclosures and eminent domain, negotiating disposition agreements, as well as local and federal affordable housing programs. Prior to Ms. Combalfs role with DHCD, she worked for the District of Columbia Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development as a Project Manager assisting the Deputy Mayor and Housing Chief to implement the Comprehensive Housing Strategy Task Force Report, as well as new affordable housing programs, including the Workforce Housing Land Trust and Inclusionary Zoning. Ms. Combal previously worked for the Deputy Mayor under the Home Again Initiative prior to the programfs move to the Property Acquisition and Disposition Division at DHCD. Ms. Combal came to the public sector after completing a Masterfs of City Planning and a Certificate of Urban Design from the University of Pennsylvania. Subsequent to receiving her Masterfs, Ms. Combal worked for Clark Construction as an Office Engineer in Bethesda, Maryland. Ms. Combal holds a B.S. in Urban and Regional Studies from Cornell University. As an avid runner, Ms. Combal actively trains for 10] mile and half marathon races and enjoys running and exploring the Districtfs diverse neighborhoods. Affiliation
