Did you know that improvisers generally think better on their feet, are more adept at presenting in front of others, and are considered stronger collaborators by their peers? This highly interactive session will outline the basic tenets of improvisation including thinking on your feet, fostering a group mind approach to collaboration, and increasing basic presentation skills. Participants will be broken into groups and will engage in ice-breaking physical warm ups, classic improv games and laughter-inducing character exercises. Designed and geared toward nurse leaders of all levels, attendees will create role plays on workplace issues such as staffing shortages, conflict resolution and employee engagement. Participants will then engage in discussion relative to improvisation as a learning innovation and will take away practical exercises to utilize in their organizations.
