Joshua Husbands Biography Joshua E. Husbands, a partner in Holland & Knight LLP's Private Wealth Services Section, represents clients in an array of business, tax, business succession and estate planning matters, including business reorganizations, acquisitions, and divestitures. He often writes and speaks on a number of business, tax, life insurance, and asset protection matters concerning businesses and high net-worth individuals. He is located in H&K's Portland office. Josh serves on the adjunct faculty at Lewis & Clark Law School, where he teaches an estate planning seminar for upper division law students. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Portland, served on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Securities Regulation Section from 2001-2007 and served on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section in 2003-2004 (where he is now a member of the Newsletter Committee). Josh serves as the Portland H&K liaison for the Oregon Campaign for Equal Justice, and is the coordinator for the Portland office Opening Doors For Children program. Joshua E. Husbands Biography Joshua E. Husbands is a partner in the Private Wealth Services Section of Holland & Knight LLP, represents clients in an array of business, tax, business succession and estate planning matters, including mergers and acquisitions and business divestitures. He often writes and speaks on a number of business, tax, life insurance and asset protection matters facing businesses and high net worth individuals. Josh graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in finance and received his J.D. cum laude from the Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College. While in law school he was the managing editor of the law review, The Journal of Small and Emerging Business Law, and a member of the Cornelius Honor Society. He graduated with certificates in federal taxation and small and emerging business law. Josh is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Portland, served on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Securities Regulation Section from 2001-2007 and served on the Executive Committee of the Oregon State Bar Taxation Section in 2003-2004.
