The Mysterious Non-Carious Cervical Lesion

  • In 1907, Dr. W.D. Miller published the results of his research that determined the etiology of non-carious cervical lesions. Because all subsequent attempts to reproduce the non-carious cervical tension failed and the literature reveals only hypothetical opinions, current opinion suggest a multifactional etiology. Dr. Dzakovich did a study to compare the effects of modern day materials on hard tooth structure to those used by Dr. Miller.
