The Mysterious Non-Carious Cervical Lesion 1 Credit hour

- In 1907, Dr. W.D. Miller published the results of his research that determined the etiology of non-carious cervical lesions. Because all subsequent attempts to reproduce the non-carious cervical tension failed and the literature reveals only hypothetical opinions, current opinion suggest a multifactional etiology. Dr. Dzakovich did a study to compare the effects of modern day materials on hard tooth structure to those used by Dr. Miller.

- Dr. Crossley will provide the nuts and bolts of practical pharmacology that is useful to the dental practice. Using the top 50 most prescribed drugs as a template, Dr. Crossley will discuss the control of post-operative pain, the drug of choice for orofacial infections, the prophylaxis guidelines for cardiac and/or orthopedic prosthesis patient, the current information on bisphosphonate-induced osteonecrosis, as well as potentially harmful drug interactions. Dr. Crossley wil also discuss the most commonly abused prescription and street drugs.
