C101A/C101B Immediate Dental Implant Replacement: Is it Worth the Risk?
Recommended for Doctors
Conference : The 145th Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting 2010
Speaker(s) : Jay R. Beagle
Download Format(s) :
MP3
$45.00

  • Jay Beagle, DDS, MSD, Indianapolis; Private practice
  • In a world of extreme makeovers and reality television, patient expectations relative to dental implant treatment time are demanding. Immediacy is coveted. But while the immediate placement of dental implants is a valid, evidence-based option, it is often pursued at the expense of both prudent, pre-treatment risk assessment and fulfillment of patient esthetic expectations. This full day course is designed to immerse the practitioner in esthetics and esthetic risk considerations as they relate to immediate dental implant treatment. A risk assessment analysis and other treatment planning criteria will be covered.

  • Amalgams have served dentistry for over a century. But the direct posterior resin restoration as well as esthetic inlays and onlays offer a means of expanding restorative services to our patients. In this presentation, Dr. Jackson will show where these conservative restorations not only are indicated but are the hands-down restoration of choice both esthetically and restoratively. Simplified preparation and placement techniques along with a discussion of longevity expectations will allow the practitioner to confidently include these restorations in an esthetic restorative practice.
