Kevin O'Brien Biography Kevin O'Brien directs SRI International's Innovation Partnership Programs. These stimulating programs leverage SRI's best practices for turning ideas into high-impact customer value. Program participants learn techniques for creating compelling value for customers or stakeholders and their organizations. These programs have enabled enterprises to develop project portfolios targeted at launching breakthrough products, while still managing risk. SRI's world-renowned R&D teams and strategic consultants assist enterprises not only in designing the projects, but also assist in actual performance of the development effort. O'Brien has a diverse technical background that includes nanotechnology, medical devices, and alternative energy technology solutions. Before joining SRI in 2006, he was Senior Manager of New Business Development at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. In that role, he was responsible for building teams to develop cleantech applications and for coordinating business activities. Prior to that, O'Brien served as Chief Knowledge Transfer Officer at the National Science Foundation's Center for Biophotonics at the University of California, Davis. There, he was active in building strategic alliances, acquiring funding, and developing business models to commercialize technologies. O'Brien earned his Ph.D. in macromolecular science and engineering and his M.S. and B.S. in polymer science and engineering from Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio. Affiliation

dt ogilvie, PhD Biography Founding Director, Center for Urban Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and Associate Professor of Management and Global Business at Rutgers University. dt ogilvie is Associate Professor of Business Strategy at Rutgers Business School-Newark and New Brunswick, Founding Director of The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development, and was previously Associate Provost of Information Technology Strategy and CIO at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey - Newark. She is also Professeur Associe Invite de Gestion Strategique a l'Universite de Reims, Champagne-Ardennes, France, where she is a Fellow of EUROP (Equipe Universitaire de Recherche sur les Organisations et leurs Performances) a Reims. Dr. ogilvie is a Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow, an Institute for Research on Women Funded Faculty Fellow, a GE Teaching Fellow, a Fellow of the Center for Women and Work, a School of Business Fellow, and a Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Coherence and Emergence. She earned her Ph.D. in Strategic Management from The University of Texas at Austin, her MBA in Strategic Management and International Strategic Management from the Executive MBA Program at Southern Methodist University, her BA in Sociology from Oberlin College, and attended The Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania. Dr. ogilvie earned certificates in Advanced Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin and in Non Linear Systems from the Inter University Consortium for Political and Social Research at The University of Michigan, where she was a Visiting Scholar in the summer of 1993. She earned a certificate from the Management Development Program at Harvard University in 2004 and a certificate in The Art & Craft of Discussion Leadership from Harvard Business School in 2008. Adrian Ott

Adrian Ott Biography Adrian Ott is CEO of Exponential Edge, Inc., a leading strategy firm that assists global clients with identifying and building new roads to revenue through market assessment, corporate partnering and go-to-market services. Clients include Microsoft, HP Symantec, Sun, C-Cor, BEA, and SunChemical in addition to other companies. Based in the Silicon Valley, her firm was named as a leading San Francisco Bay Area professional services firm by the WIC organization based on respect by peers and clients. Ms. Ott has appeared on PBS and CNBC, and been interviewed by BusinessWeek, The NY Post, SmartMoney and MSN.com. She has authored a number of articles in national publications and is a frequent speaker at industry events. She lectured on value creation and innovation for an Executive MBA Program for 5 years. Prior to founding Exponential Edge, Ms. Ott worked at Hewlett Packard for over 15 years. While at HP, she managed a $1.5 billion dollar portfolio of strategic alliances, and led a business unit that bridged HP to the Silicon Valley innovation community. Ms. Ott was honored in an HP Annual Report for "Infusing HP with new revenue streams, new technologies and new business models." She also worked in Corporate Strategy at AT&T (Formerly Pacific Bell). She currently serves as Chair of the Harvard Business School Strategy & Growth Roundtable for Northern California, the largest HBS Alumni Club in the world.
