1. To provide basic TMD and Orofacial Pain education which will allow the participant to begin their preparation for taking the ABOP board exam.
2. To provide the established orofacial pain practitioner an opportunity to refresh their knowledge of head and neck anatomy.
3. To provide the conference attendees with information that will broaden their knowledge base in the area of headache, sleep medicine, and neuropathic pain.
4. To provide the conference attendees with insights into the pathophysiology of muscle and joint injury, and how these mechanisms impact on tissue healing.
5. To help the conference attendees appreciate the critical importance of utilizing the skills of physical therapists and behavioral therapists in the management of Orofacial Pain and TMD patients.
