George J. Meyer Biography George J. Meyer is a shareholder with the law firm of Carlton Fields. He practices construction and real estate law in their Tampa office and is certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. His areas of expertise includes the preparation, negotiation and administration of design and construction contracts; construction claims analysis and resolution; all types of real property and commercial loan transactions; and, development law Mr. Meyer has extensive experience with large complex public and private development projects (e.g., Florida Marlins Ballpark, Orlando Magic Arena, Washington Nationals Ballpark, New York Mets Ballpark, Indianapolis Colts Stadium, Arizona Cardinals Stadium, Detroit Northwest Midfield Airport Terminal, Phoenix Children’s Hospital, the Florida Aquarium, Heinz Field, Miller Park, the Orange County Public Schools’ Capital Facilities Program, the St. Pete Times Forum, the Orlando Convention Center, Marriott Grande Lakes Resort, Hilton Bonnet Creek Resort, and Raymond James Stadium). He has prepared standard form design and construction contracts for various contractors, design-builders and owners. Prior to practicing law, he spent 10 years as a construction engineer. Professionally, Mr. Meyer holds memberships in the Hillsborough County Bar Association, The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association and the Florida Engineering Society. He is on the Executive Committee for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar and is the current Director of the Real Property Division of the Section; is on the Construction Law Certification Committee of The Florida Bar; is the current chair of the Design and Construction Committee of the ABA’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Section; and is on the governing committee for the ABA’s Forum on the Construction Industry. Christina Meyers PhD ABPP Biography Christina Meyers PhD is Professor Neuropsychology at MD Anderson Cancer Center in the Department of Neuro-Oncology. Since 1984, she has pioneered research on the effects of cancer and cancer treatment on the nervous system. Dr. Meyers is currently working on methods to identify people who might be genetically at risk for developing cognitive problems after cancer treatment, so that interventions can be developed to relieve this distressing side effect.
